THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W9127S10R6001. PRESOLICITATION NOTICE FOR 898 SQUARE METER WEAPONS SYSTEM TRAINER (WST) AT LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE Solicitation Number: W9127S-10-R-6001 Agency: Department of the Army Office: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Location: U.S. Army Engineer District, Little Rock The Little Rock District Corps of Engineers has a requirement to construct an 898 Square Meter Weapons System Trainer (WST) high-bay addition to an existing flight simulator facility (Building 1228). The work will take place on Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville, AR. The Work includes the concrete footings and slab on grade, structural steel frame, standing seam metal roof, brick exterior walls, and fire protection/suppression. Site work shall include relocation of anode bed and runoff drainage swale, asphalt access roadway, and parking areas. This project will comply with Department Of Defense antiterrorism/force protection requirements per Unified Facilities Criteria. The facility will be a properly sized and configured area to accommodate a new six-axis C-130 Flight Simulator with adequate space for operational computers, briefing rooms, component and facility storage, classrooms, and instructor areas. Area must be securable to the Secret Level and conform to the security architecture of the existing facility, meet safety requirements for new construction, and comply with established physical security guidelines. All necessary equipment, permits, etc. shall be provided by the Contractor. Magnitude of construction for this project is between the range of $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal utilizing the best value process as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 and will include price and non-price evaluation factors. A firm-fixed price contract will be negotiated as a result of the solicitation NAICS code 236220. On or about 12 October 2009, the solicitation documents for this project will be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov/ under solicitation number W9127S-10-R-6001. You must be registered with the FBO website to download the solicitation documents. NO CD's OR HARD COPIES WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE.
