- DESCRIPTION: the VA Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute, 985440 Nebraska Medical Center Omaha NE 68198, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is to obtain services for reference testing for Omaha VAMC pathology department. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. Interested parties that believe they can meet these needs must supply information about their capabilities no later than 4:00 pm CST, October 5, 2009. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using commercial acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. No solicitation will be made available. The anticipated award date is October 6, 2009. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
