- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Synopsis: Added 2-OCT-2009 Subject: SERVICE AND SUPPORT, EXISTING PARATA PHARMACY COMPUTER SYSTEM OF FOX AHC W31P0Y-9222-1555 *TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED* FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONTACT US ARMY AMCOM, ATTN: CCAM-OS-B/KIM COGGIN REDSTONE ARSENAL AL 35898 TELEPHONE: (256) 842-7451 EMAIL: kim.coggin@us.army.mil In accordance with FAR 6.302.1 it has been determined that Parata Systems is the only company that is able to satisfy the agencys requirement for the service and support of the existing Parata Pharmacy Computer System. The government intends to procure a Service and Support Contract for the existing Parata Pharmacy Computer System of Fox AHC from Parata Systems Inc., 2600 Meridian Parkway, Suite 100, Durham NC 27713 (cage code 31EA6). It has been determined that the support/service is not optional and Parata Systems is the only vendor that can meet the requirement. Parata is the sole manufacturer and support provider for maintenance support for this system. The Parata System was installed by the parent command the MEDCOM. The solution cannot be changed out as it is an embedded part of the business processes of Fox AHC. The system is a computer automation system and used in the pharmacy but it is not a medical system it is a computer and software solution. PRON: N/A NOUN: Annual Maintenance, Accumed, Pharmacy 2000, Pharmacy 2000 (workstations) premium only, covering Parata Pharmacy Computer System from October 1, 2009 September 30, 2010 The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this acquisition. According to FAR 52.212-2 the Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors such as technical capability, delivery, and past performance will be considered. According to FAR any offers should also include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. (CCR, ORCA) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, (APR 2009) (Deviation) applies to this acquisition. The contractor must be able to use WAWF (Wide Area Workflow) for payment in accordance with DFARS 252.232.7003, Electronic Submission of Payment Request and Receiving Reports (March 2008).
