Description
Notice of Intent to award sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Providence, Rhode Island (650/90C VAMC Providence) intends to negotiate and award a contract for maintenance and support of medical equipment described as follows: GE Computed Tomography (CT) 16 Lightspeed Scanner (CSPE01). Proposed Contractor: GE Healthcare, 3000 N. Grandview Blvd., W443, Waukesha, WI 53188. CAGE: 1V332, DUNS: 073 838 534. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302-1; GE Healthcare is the sole source for providing iLinq support (remote) and the required on-site support and maintenance. This is a commercial acquisition under FAR 12.6 and 13.1. The items to be acquired are: maintenance and support of the CT 16 Lightspeed system. Support is required to be on site, 8:00 am to 9:00 pm Eastern (M-F), within two (2) hours of summons. Not less than 97% uptime performance is required. Unlimited supply of replacement tubes based on 5,000 - 11,000 through put. This notice contains information current through FAC 2005-36. The NAICS is 811219. The PSC is J065. Interested persons may contact the Contract Specialist regarding this procurement and may identify capabilities for items of this kind. Correspondence should be received not later than seven (7) days after this notice. The Department welcomes information on total life cycle and maintenance costs for this and for comparable systems as well as information on alternative sustainment strategies for this and comparable systems.
