Description
The Government will furnish one dining facility. You may cook, warm up and keep food cold for your catered meals. Government furnished property will be provided as is. Catering Meal Service. Caters are responsible for food delivery, setting up and serving. Serving tables will be provided by the government. Serving meals will only take place at the dining facility. Meals will be served on time. The hours for breakfast will be 0600 until 0800. The hours for dinner will be 1600 until 1800 (4:00PM-6:00PM). Soldiers will stagger in during those two hours that the dining facility will be open. The Services will be performed at the following location. Camp Rell 38 Smith Street, Building 28 Niantic, CT 06357 Caters can clean their food service equipment and utensil s at the dining facility. You will have to bring your own cleaning supplies. Caters will keep their own serving tables clean. They will discard garbage and refuse after every meal. They will bring their own garbage bags. Trash disposal will be provided (dumpster). All paper goods (plates, cups, bowls, eating utensils and napkins) will be provided by the Army National Guard. The soldiers will empty and clean the trash cans containing these paper good products as well as provide trash bags. Headcount for Meals (this has changed) Breakfast is from 18 October 2009 thru 23 October 2009. Headcount for Meals is as followed: (538 + 439 + 439 + 439 + 439 +439 = 2733. Dinner is from 17 October 2009 thru 22 October 2009. Headcount for Meals is as followed: (538 + 439 + 439 + 439 + 439 + 439 = 2733 Answer to Questions: There will be no special meal served for vegetarians. They will have to make a meal out of whatever you are having for that meal. You can bring a mobile unit if you want to. It will have to be set up right outside the dining facility. You can have canisters of milk instead of cartoons. You can bring cans of juice instead of individual cartoons. Caters are responsible for portion control of the food. Food can be delivered to the dining facility. They will be refrigerators at the dining facility. Delete the following two paragraphs below: (1)Breakfast choices shall include fresh fruit juice, low fat chocolate and white milk, individual packaged dried cereal or individual packaged hot cereal, eggs, pancakes, breakfast meat, assorted breads, hash brown potatoes, biscuits with gravy, fresh or canned fruit, coffee, butter or margarine, syrup, jelly or jam, and condiments. (2)Dinner shall include an entre which includes a tossed salad, two vegetables, accompanied by the appropriate side dishes or sauces, gravies, or salad dressings, low fat chocolate and white milk, iced tea and coffee, and condiments. Each meal shall be served with a choice of bread and butter or margarine, and dessert. Entrees shall vary in a manner not to repeat within a 3-day period. Instead use the Menu Plan (which is an attachment in the original solicitation) to Annual Training as a guideline of what the meals should contain and quantities shall be served. The Government will make an award resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. Past/Present Performance Evaluation The Catering Company will provide the Government with at least three of the most current past performance references. Provide: companys name, person to contact, phone number, address, contract type, and dollar value of the contract. The Government will evaluate present and past performance information through the use of a questionnaire. Three references will be called and asked questions. Price Evaluation The determination that a quote is reasonable will be based on competitive quotation/offers and historical history. Past Performance is equal to price. Quote one line item breakfast and one line item dinner.
