Description

The Government intends to negotiate a commercial item (FAR Part 12) sole source purchase order with Philips Healthcare, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The purchase order is for new and upgraded Telemetry and additional wireless monitoring capabilities throughout VASDHS. The Physiological monitoring systems for patients throughout the facility is essential to monitoring patient care and must be provided with continuity of care as the utmost motivation for this procurement. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The Government intends to award a firm - fixed price purchase order for one base year period. The solicitation is to be issued on or about September 30, 2009. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. NAICS #423450, Size Standard is 100 employees.
