Description
This is a Sources Sought announcement, a market survey for written information on vendor interest and qualifications in fulfilling a potential Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) warehousing and order fulfillment requirement. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. 1. Below is background information and a short description of the requirements, a request for your business information, and a Contractor Capability Survey which allows you to provide your company's capabilities. 2. If, after reviewing these documents, you desire to participate in the market research, you should provide documentation that supports your company's capabilities in meeting these requirements. Failure to provide documentation may result in the Government being unable to adequately assess your capabilities. 3. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research. Background The FDIC Distribution Center plays and important role to the FDIC mission because it assists in maintaining public confidence in the nation's financial system by distributing brochures, newsletters, DVDs and CD-ROMS to educate the general public and the banking community on deposit insurance and a variety of money matters. To assist the FDIC Distribution in accomplishing its mission, a warehousing facility and shipping function is needed to distribution the materials listed above. Summary Requirements • The contractor shall provide a warehouse facility located within a 40-50 mile radius of Arlington, VA. • The warehouse facility shall be able to store approximately 200- 300 pallets. • The Contractor must provide a centralized storage area dedicated to the FDIC • The Contractor shall provide necessary on-site supervision to manage and maintain the warehousing and shipping needs of FDIC on a Monday through Friday basis. The functions include: the receiving, inventorying, put away, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping of materials. Materials will be shipped using provided FDIC labels with the FDIC logo and return address. • The Contractor must have the ability to recycle paper products. This market research announcement should not be considered a commitment of any kind by the Government and individual correspondence should not be expected in advance of any resulting pre-solicitation notice for the proposed requirements.
