- Description
- The USDA-ARS-NPA intends to award, sole source, to the subject vendor, a purchase order for an imaging scanner. The Research Unit currently has two radio-TLC Imaging Scanner from the same vendor. Purchasing the third unit from the same vendor will allow the Unit to economize on consumables, maintenance, training, and instrument parts and accessories. In addition, the following collective specifications for the TLC imaging scanner are unique to this vendor and are required by the Research Unit for compatibility with existing equipment: •Resistive anode single element position sensing (imaging) detector. •Counts all radioisotopes including Tritium (H-3) using same detector. •Uses magnetic collimators for quick changes of resolution and lane width. •Window or windowless operation. •Automatic computer setting of high voltage for operation with all radioisotopes. •Sensitivity: 3-H & 125-I down to 1000 DPM in 10 minutes 14-C, 32-P and most other isotopes down to 100 DPM in 10 minutes •Chromatographic Resolution: 0.5-1mm for 3-H; 1-2 mm for 14-C; 3 mm for 32-P and most gamma emitters •Background: Less than 0.15 CPM per mm. •Complete compatibility of hardware and software for 1, 2 or 3-plate instrument. •Unique un-limited tab system for lane selection. Built-in stepping and tab capability on all scanners. Allows analysis of plates with any lane format without ruler measurement or tedious computer data entry. •Software selectable 256, 512, or 1024 channel operation. •Optional cGMP and 21CFR Part 11 compliant software. •Full-color 2-D graphics (imaging) capability. •WinScan3 software compatible with Windows 98, 2000, NT or XP for publication quality report generation, including full-color 2D images and graphics. •Software portability for operation on other PC computers for "off-line" data processing. •1:1 plot printing option for TLC-plate overlays. •Open construction for easy instrument cleaning, service and plate access. •Built-in detector calibration and maintenance procedures software. •Adjustable P10 gas flow control with gas flow indicator. o20) 16 X 9 X 19 inch unit for 1 (20 X 20cm) plate analysis. o24 X 9 X 19 inch unit for 2 (20 X 20cm) plate analysis. o32 X 9 X 19 inch unit for 3 (20 X 20cm) plate analysis. •Data conversion from existing WINSCAN data to WinScan3. •Digital motor with screw drive for positioning precision within 0.1 mm. •Collimators of 1, 2, 4, 6, and 10mm widths for high efficiency or high resolution.
