Description

Sole Source Justification PLIF ABSORPTION SENSOR: The solicitation number is FA8601-09-T-0121. The NAICS Code is 334516. The size standard is 500 employees. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Spectral Energies, LLC. The purchase is for Optoelectronics in support of a PLIF Absorption Sensor. Spectral Engeries was responsible for building the PLIF and absorption sensor currently in place and since they know the systems they are uniquely qualified to provide and install the current optoelectronics. The are the only known source able to satisfy the Government Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within four (4) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations should be e-mailed to Shelley.Deardorff@wpafb.af.mil or faxed to Shelley Deardorff, 88 CONS/PKBB, 937-257-3926 no later than 25 September 2009.
