Description
For Informational purposes only This action modifies and existing contract to provide research translation analysis and communication implementation strategies for the Superfund Research Program as follows: (1) Modification to Task 1, Research Translation and Analysis: Conduct analysis of research advances as reported by the ARRA-funded grant supplements which will include: a. tracking measureable outcomes such as publications, b.performing periodic publication analysis c.determining effective methods to communicate findings to stakeholders d.interfacing and coordinating with Research Translation Cores on the outcomes Modify, update and maintain the NIEHS SRP data system in to incorporate ARRA-funded grant outcomes, which includes: e.developing information capture, retrieval, storage systems for data generated by ARRA-funded projects and developing appropriate SRP ARRA web pages f.developing appropriate interfaces that allow for easy viewing and searching of ARRA findings g.developing new aspects for the existing database structure in order to interface SRP ongoing research projects with ARRA-related projects, which accommodates the independent capture of ARRA-supported research and progress, while simultaneously integrating this same information with the existing grant data tracking system h.collecting and assimilating progress reports, publications, education and translation materials, student summaries, patents, activities at hazardous waste sites and positions created or retained for the SRP database. (2) Modification to Task 2, Communication Implementation Strategies: Develop web content and other print materials describing the ARRA-related grantee findings and activities. For the multi-project grants, the individual investigator grants and the Small Business Innovative Research/Small Business Technology Transfer Research grants, the requirements include: a.developing web content that describes project summaries, project progress and outcomes b. developing materials that capture how collaborations, under the “Enhanced Research and Translation Activities” ARRA supplement awards have been of benefit to the SRP c.developing translation/communication materials targeted to Program stakeholders such as EPA and ATSDR.
