Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), Ames, Iowa intends to award a sole source contract to FEI Company, 5350 NE Dawson Creek Drive, Hillsboro, Oregon 97124 for 1 each Tecnai G2 Spirit BioTwin, 1 each CompuStage Single-tilt Holder, i each Camera Block 100-200 kV, 1 each LaB6emitter (Kenka/Mitsui), 1 each additional Wehjmelt Assembly, 1 each support PC and 1 each 19" LCD monitor. FEI is the only known exclusive vendor for this microscope. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR12. Number note 22 applies.
