Description: RECOVERY--THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W912DQ09R0006. Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, will issue a request for quote for a firm-fixed price contract to provide labor, equipment and materials to construct a 28X90 Maintenance Storage Building at the Melvern Lake Project Administration Area, Melvern, KS. All work shall be completed in accordance with the Scope of Work, Drawings and Wage Determination provided in the solicitation. The general scope of work includes but is not limited to: Furnishing all transportation, labor, equipment materials, and supervision necessary to satisfactorily accomplish the work required for the site preparation, excavation, placement of concrete and building construction. Specified requirements and time periods will be specified in the solicitation. The Contractor shall monitor performance and ensure compliance in accordance with the terms and conditions of the solicitation/award. IAW FAR 36.204 the magnitude of this requirement is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The performance period will be from date of award through 1 January 2010. The solicitation will be available on or about October 12, 2009 To obtain a copy of the solicitation go to http://www.fbo.gov Proposals will be due approximately November 12, 2009. The solicitation, including any amendments shall establish the official opening and closing dates and times. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 238190. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Vendors must be actively registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) Database and Online Registration and Certification Application (ORCA).
