Description
The purpose of this work activity is to provide support to the DOE-SR, Office of Safety and Quality Assurance (OSQA), in performing safety analysis and review support functions for the ARRA. With the ARRA funding allocation of more than $1.6 Billion, SRS will decommission surplus nuclear reactor facilities, accelerate transuranic (TRU) waste disposition, remediate soil and groundwater, and complete area closure. The contractor will provide support to OSQA in performing safety analysis and reviews for the ARRA project including, but not limited to, expertise in the areas of administrative and technical coordination of safety observations, reviews, analysis, and regulatory compliance at the Savannah River Site. The award was competitively awarded as a Labor Hour Task Order due to the Government's inability to forecast or define the M&O contractor's evolving scope of work. The DOE oversight of the contractor's performance of the ARRA scope of work will be intermittent, unpredictable, and undefined as the scope evolves and the work is executed.
