- RECOVERY - This procurement will be firm-fixed price and is funded in whole by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 is subject to reporting requirements of the Act. TAS No. 149/02302. Project No. N3278002; N3378002; N3578002; N3678002. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is soliciting offers to procure a Self Propelled Broom equipment. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. RA000909054 herein cited is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and will be procured under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-35. The solicitation is unrestricted and is solicited on an open market basis. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is issuing this RFQ to procure four (4) Superior DT80CT Self propelled broom with the following options: o Cummins 85 hp turbo Diesel o Enclosed Cab w/ heat and AC o Front windshield wiper and washer o 8ft x 32 in poly and wire brush o 170 gallon water sprinkler system o Rotating Beacon (amber) o Precleaner o Light Group headlamps, turn signals, stop & tail lights o 3/4 ton rear axle and 16 in tires a) Engine: Cummins Diesel - model B3.3T 199 cubic inch (3.3 liter) 85hp at 2500 rpm w/ 120 amp alternator b) Dimensions: Weight - 5300 lbs std. unit (w/canopy), height -103 in. (w/canopy), Length - 172 inches, width - 96 inches (transport) Wheelbase - 133 inches, turning radius - 13ft(inside) c) Chasis: Welded 6" channel w/gussets at all stress points. Certified roll over protection (ROPS) stucture meets and exceeds all Federal Standards. d) Steering: Orbital hydraulic power steering. e) Hydraulic Tank: 27 gallon wtih 10 micron return filter f) Fuel Tank: 41 Gallon Capacity g) Cooling System: Heavy Duty vertically mounted radiator and oil cooler w/8000 cfm suction fan h) Front Axle: Heavy-duty Truck type(full oscillating) i) Rear Axle: Heavy Duty Semi-floatr differential with spring suspension system.j) Wheels: Four - 6 bolt (15"x6") steel spoke.k) Tires: Four radial P235/75R15 load range Bl) Brakes: Four wheel hydraulic with dual master cylinder and mechanical parking brakem) Transmission: Infinity variable hydrostatic pump and motor driving a differential rear axle thru a 2-speed gearbox. Low range:0-12mph, High range: 0-34 mph n) Hydraulic system: Load compensated pump - 28 GPM w/2500 PSI operating pressure. 10 micron high pressure suction filtero) Brush Core: 8 foot all welded tubular construction. Direct drive motor enclosed in core (200 rpm). Sweeping width: 96inches 10"x32" Prostran wafer type brush filter.p) Brush cover: 12 guage steel, 140 degree full brush length with end plate covers and full length rock deflectorq) Broom Controls: Electronic joystick control for brush on-off with trigger for float, push buttons for broom on-off and speed control. Broom lift, adjustable down pressure and swing right to left through joystick movement.r) Controls and Accessories: Padded seat with arm rests and seat belts, dual element air cleaner and precleaner, 12 volt ignition system, 800cca battery and backup alarm. Guages include tachometer, hour meter, water temp, oil psi, fuel and volt meter.
