- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract under commercial item acquisition procedures with Alarmco Corporation, 1 Bailey Drive, Guilford, CT 06437 under RFQ E007899. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Alarmco Corporation is to provide the following items: 1) IP16-FB03, 16-Channel Instaplay - Annunciation Equipment– Quantity – (24). Based on the prior testing of equipment, additional market research and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government and the related-industry, it has been determined the FBI’s requirement for the above-listed items can only be provided by the manufacturer, Alarmco Corporation, Guilford, Connecticut. The known requirement will be incorporated into previously installed Physical Security Systems as it has been tested and is deemed compatible with present equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 4:00PM, EST, Wednesday, September 23, 2009, via facsimile to the attention of Renee L. Braun, Contracting Officer, at (540) 868-1473. Information received will be solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System Number is 334290 and the size standard is 500 employees. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13.5. The awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database.
