Description

The Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, intends to issue a commercial item purchase order on a sole source basis to COLONIAL PARKING INC., of Washington, DC, Subject to the Availability of Funds. The acquisition is for leasing commercial parking spaces contained within the parking garage facility located at 500 Capitol St NW, Washington, DC. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, Subpart 13.106 and Subpart 13.5. This effort will be negotiated on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). Due to the proximity of the parking spaces and safety and security reasons, this contractor has been found to be the only known source to perform this requirement. No solicitation document exists. Interested parties must respond within 15 days of this notice with a written statement. Responses received as a result of this notice of intent shall be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as either proposals or bids, and cost or pricing data is not solicited. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon written responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
