Description
The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) Minerals Management Service (MMS) has a requirement for providing Minerals Management Service the delivery of "Gulf Span" 2-D seismic data in a timely manner to map OCS resources over the onshore and near shore State Lands of Texas and Louisiana in accordance with the State of Work as outlined below: DESCRIPTION:In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5, this synopsis is being posted for the United States Department of the Interior (DOI) Minerals Management Service (MMS) Procurement Operations Branch, Contracting Office for this procurement. This synopsis is to announce the Governments intent to award a sole source to ION GEOPHYSICAL CORPORATION, HOUSTON, TX, in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agencys requirements. (MMS) Procurement Operations Branch anticipates awarding a Contract to ION GEOPHYSICAL CORPORATION for delivery of Gulf Span 2-D seismic data to map Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) resources over the onshore and near shore State Lands of Texas and Louisiana. The anticipated total value of this procurement is estimated to be approximately $210,000. Anticipated award date is no later than 25 September 2009. This is NOT a request for competitive proposals. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, any and all information received by the point of contact (POC) listed below; by close of business 21 September 2009 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
