- Description
- The National Park Service, Grand Canyon National Park intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Commercial Services contract for the Operation and Maintenance of the Shuttle Bus System in Grand Canyon National Park. The system is a year-round, free service offered to visitors of the Park. The contractor will operate and maintain the Government-furnished vehicles and provide drivers to operate the various routes year-round. This contract will have a base performance period of twelve (12) months, commencing on or about 5 January 2010 - 4 January 2011. This contract will include four (4), one-year option periods to be exercised at the Government's discretion. Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, transportation, supervision, inspection, and incidental material to ensure the performance requirements are met. This excludes Government-furnished equipment, facilities, material, and commodities that are specifically detailed in the statement of work. Various evaluation factors will be used to include overall prices, past performance of similar projects of similar scope and magnitude, and technical capability of the firm. Solicitation is being issued as UNRESTRICTED, Full and open competition is sought: Offers are solicited from all qualified firms. NAICS 485999; size standard is $7.0 million dollars. Offerors must have current registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications via ORCA.Gov website. A site visit is scheduled for October 7, 2009 at 10 AM at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park. Interested parties shall meet in the parking lot of the Park Service Headquarters building, South Rim, Grand Canyon National Park. Contractors planning to attend this pre-solicitation meeting shall contact via email robin_martin@nps.govand elizabeth_baierl@nps.gov to ensure access to the Park. No more than three (3) representatives per firm may attend this meeting, due to space availability. To enter the Park for this meeting, enter using the farthest left lane and inform attendant that you have official business at the Headquarters Building. NOTE: RSVP must be done prior to October 6, 2009 to ensure access to the Park for this meeting. Individual tours or meetings will not be conducted nor permitted. Official release of solicitation is anticipated to be on / or about October 1, 2009 with closing date for all offers due October 31, 2009 at 10 AM PST. Regardless of the official release date of the solicitation, closing date will remain October 31, 2009 at 10 AM PST to ensure milestones for this project are achieved.
