- Description of items needed. DESCRIPTION: HQ ACC Acquisition Management and Integration Center (AMIC), Langley AFB, VA is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy for a potential requirement to purchase Brand name or EQUAL, Professional series computer workstations with the following salient characteristics. The government plans to purchase six (6) Desktop systems with the salient characteristics, brand name or equal, to the HP system listed on the attachment. The government plans to purchase 14 EA Desktop systems with the salient characteristics, brand name or equal, to the MAC system listed on the attachment. The government plans to purchase 145 EA Notebook Computer systems with the salient characteristics, brand name or equal, to the system on the attachment. Also required are 500GB Passport Essential Hard Drives (145 EA) and Imaging Service pre-loaded to Each desktop listed. An approved waiver is on file at ACC/AMIC to purchase these systems outside of AFWay system. The systems required by ACC Public Affairs need to have separate, discreet, high resolution graphics cares that are vital to rapidly processing the large still and motion media image files athat are created by the AF public affairs photographers and broadcasters in the filed. The systems are also critical to operating the large, 30-in Apple Cenema displays that are used in the editing process. High-speed processing, an extremely large RAM, high-speed VGA and bus speeds, etc are critical to the systems requirements. ACC AMIC is seeking industry input on innovative ideas and/or identification of existing contract vehicles (DoD or Non-DoD vehicles) that could be used to meet the Government's time constraints with tentative award of 23 Sep 09. In addition, request responding small businesses identify whether they have a GSA schedule that can support the services required in this sources sought synopsis.
