Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference number is W912HQ-09- T-0032 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. This solicitation is a 100 percent set aside for small business; the associated NAICS code is 334515 and small business size standard is 500 employees. Line Item 0001 Quantity 2 (two); Megger TTR330 (Or Equal) Does not include lead set Line Item 0002 Quantity 2 (two); Megger TTR 30 ft Lead Sets (Or Equal) #37093 Line Item 0003 Quantity 4 (four); Megger S1552/2 5kV Insulation Resistance Test Set (Or Equal) Line Item 0004 Quantity 4 (four); Megger MS-2A-115 Hi Current Test Set (Or Equal) Line Item 0005 Quantity 4 (four); Megger DET4TCR2 4 terminal Digital Ground Tester (Or Equal) Line Item 0006 - Shipping/Delivery destination and schedule is as follows: C Co, 249th Engineer Battalion (PP) CPT James Mooney 1416 Jackson Loop Fort Belvoir, VA 22060 STATEMENT OF WORK TEST EQUIPMENT FOR METL TRAINING AND ANNUAL SERVICES Background The 249th Engineer Battalion (Prime Power) deploys worldwide to provide prime electrical power and electrical systems expertise in support of the warfighter mission and National Response Plan. The units primary equipment assets are medium voltage generators and power plants that require several industry specific specialty tools and test equipment to ensure that their systems are operating properly. Scope The 249th Engineer Battalion generators (840 KW MEP PU 810-B) require weekly, monthly, and annual services in order to keep the systems operating at optimal performance. These services require specific tools/test equipment designed to work on medium voltage power generation systems. Charlie Company, 249th EN BN requires several of these tools in order to conduct services and to accomplish several of their METL tasks. Task Requirements All equipment must meet the technical specifications as identified below. The contractor has the option of providing alternate equipment with equivalent technical specifications and safety ratings. All substitutions of equipment including type, model, or brand name must be approved by the technical point of contact before acceptance. The tools must meet industry safety standards outlined in the APPA (American Public Power Association,) Safety Manual and must be calibrated prior to delivery. Warranty Contractor shall provide a one year limited warranty on all parts and accessories installed by the manufacturer. Include cost of freight and delivery Period of Performance Equipment must be delivered no later than thirty days after the contract award date. The Government will award a contract resulting form this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered.
