Description

RECOVERY FUNDED It is anticipated that RFP 528-09-RA-0119 will be issued the week of September 21st. The solicitation will be issued unrestricted pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program of FAR 19.10 as to qualifying business size for competitive responses, except that this is a cascaded solicitation to allow maximum opportunity for participation to the following socio-economic classifications (in descending order of priority): Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business(SDVOSB); Veteran-Owned Small Business(VOSB); HUBZone Small Business, and SBA Certified Small Disadvantaged Business(8a). Solicitation documents will be posted electronically at www.fbo.gov. Work includes mechanical & electrical work for the replacement of air handling systems addition of a Reverse Osmosis system to supply new humidifiers and minor cooling system modifications as indicated on the plans and specifications for Project 528A7-09-716. The Government will award a contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. This is not a Sealed Bid Procurement. Technical Factors when combined are equal to Price. Offerors are advised that if technical proposals in the competitive range are essentially equal, award will be made on the basis of the lowest price. Offers are due February 5, 2009 at 11:00AM. Estimated total construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. NAICS code is 238220 and the small business size standard is $ 14.0M.
