- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to solicit on an other than full and open competition basis a requirement for a lease for Canon copiers and imageRUNNERs, as well as the maintenance of the copiers included with this lease. The procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Canon U.S.A., Inc. for this requirement. The required services are to be procured on a sole source basis to Canon, the vendor who supplied the initial copiers to USN N10, and the only known vendor capable of providing the instant requirement in the time period specified to meet the needs of the Navy Total Force N10, Washington, DC. This contract is intended to be awarded NLT 1 OCT 2009. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by the specified response date. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider information received by the specified response date. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. The NAICS code is 532420 and the small business size standard is $23M.
