Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for 4 bare EBAPS sensors and camera electronics for GaNUV photocathode development with the following specifications:Large Format >1600 X 1400 pixel, back-thinned, electron sensitive CMOS sensor capableof operation at a pixel rate of up to 40MHz for incorporation into a UV sensitive GaNbased image tube. Device must have a read noise at these pixel rates of <30 electronsrms and a pixel size between 10 and 15 microns. The sensor package must also be capableof being sealed into a vacuum tight image tube configuration and be able to withstandvacuum processing temperatures up to 150 C.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Intevac, Inc @ 3560 Basset St., Santa Clara,CA 95054. Pursuant to FAR 13.106, for the acquisition of supplies or services determinedto be reasonable available from only one source. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.See Note26.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon September 17, 2009.Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
