- This is a Request for Information only. It is not a REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. The Government is not requesting technical or management proposals and a contract will not be awarded as a result of this sources sought notice. The information provided will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice. If a solicitation is later released, it will be synopsized in FedBizOps. It is the potential business concerns responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any synopsis or solicitation. The USCG is seeking to identify qualified small business concerns including: Veteran-owned small business, Service-Disabled Veteran-owned small business, HUBZONE small business, Small Disadvantaged business, and Women-owned small business concerns that are interested in and capable of providing separating/retiring United States Coast Guard military personnel and their spouses with career counseling and training resources in the form of seminars to aid in their successful transition to the civilian workforce. The seminars shall encompass employment assistance and shall include, but not be limited to, personal skills assessment, psychological and job interest aptitude inventory, information concerning resume writing, job search, placement, interviewing, negotiation, and training. Training shall also include Coast Guard Military Training, DOD job search, Troops to Teachers, Federal and State employment, finances and unemployment. These services shall be conducted through interactive seminars to include group and individual exercises over a three day period. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 611430 (Professional and Management Development Training) with a small business size standard of $7M annually. Responses to this notice should be electronic and include: company name, address, point of contact, DUNS Number, size of business and socioeconomic status that is supported by a current registration status of active in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/contractors.aspx. In addition, please provide a capability statement that you currently provide to the commercial market and have the resources and experience necessary to provide this type of service.
