Small Business Set-Aside: Total Small Business
Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and 17.2 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. The solicitation number is Q9512090134, and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is a small business set-aside. All responsible small businesses concerns may submit a quotation that shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 324121 with an associated small business size standard of 500 employees. This solicitation will result in award of a firm, fixed-price contract. BASE BID ITEM: The National Park Service, Olympic National Park, has a requirement for Class G Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). The Government will purchase the maximum amount of HMA with available funds, up to 80 tons for the "Staircase" project site and 300 tons for the "Lake Crescent/Highway 101" site. OPTION ITEM: The Government may increase the quantity if additional funds become available; however, this option item shall not exceed 50% of the original quantity awarded. DELIVERY: No delivery required; the Government will provide drayage to project sites. PRICE SCHEDULE: The unit of measure for this contract shall be in tons. Weight tickets shall be supplied for each load the Government picks up. Invoices shall also be expressed in tons. CLIN0001: Class G HMA $__________ per ton. CLAUSES & PROVISIONS: It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. The Government will base its selection upon vendors that are within a suitable radius of the project site to allow transport of the HMA to the project sites within industry standard temperature limits. The government reserves the right to make award without discussions. Quoters must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to be considered eligible for award.
