Description
HSCG87-10-B-PJT002 Steam Repair STMH D2 to D9, Bldg N75 & 515 at U.S. Coast Guard Integrated Support Command (ISC) Kodiak, Alaska. The contractor shall provide all materials, supervision, labor, equipment, transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform the following work: Replace existing insulated steam condensate return lines, replace insulation on existing steam lines, and replace rollers, guides and anchors in approximately 850 lf of existing buried concrete utilidor; replace approximately 300 lf of direct bury insulated steam and condensate return lines, construction of approximately 500 feet of water line and 700 feet of storm drain lines; miscellaneous installation of drip legs, pressure relief valves, and drains in nine underground steam manholes; miscellaneous site work associated with excavation of the utilidor for the steam system repairs such as sidewalk repair, trenching across roadways, sod replacement; asbestos abatement of mastics in utilidor lids and testing of pipe lagging remnants stuck to steam main piping; contingency items shall be included for four different methods of concrete utilidor repair, utilidor lid replacement, asbestos abatement of pipe lagging remnants stuck to steam main piping and removal of waste asphalt debris on the Nyman Peninsula. The project will also contain an option item for the removal of approximately 1700 cubic yards of waste asphalt debris. All work shall be completed on or before August 14, 2010. Contract award is anticipated early November 2009. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. See the solicitation for bonding requirements. This procurement is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237110 and the applicable size standard is $33.5 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. All responsible small businesses may submit a bid. A firm-fixed-price contract will be awarded. This solicitation will not be issued in paper form. Solicitation document may be accessed for download from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website beginning on the date of issue (estimated to be on or about 30 September, 2009) at the following site: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted on this website. Prospective bidders are responsible for checking the website for amendments up to the date and time of bid opening. The technical data package (specifications and drawings) will only be available through a link in FedBizOpps. Firms must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and FedBizOpps to be able to access the technical data package. A planholders list will not be available for this project from CEU-Juneau. Vendors are encouraged to register their interest by entering their information in the Interested Vendors List for this solicitation in FedBizOpps. Award of this project is contingent upon availability of funding. This project is being advertised as a 1st fiscal quarter FY10 (period beginning 10/01/09) if funding becomes available.
