- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for two sets of fiber optics transmitters that need tobe installed on the 250 Mhz fiber optic timing board to allow a doubling of the imagedata transmission rate, with accompanying software. One additional PCI board will berequired to receive the additional data stream.The requested printed circuit boards are intended for custom test setup development atDetector Characterization Laboratory (DCL). The cameras must meet noise and softwarerequirements and must be compatible with DCL hardware.Total noise of the video channelsneeds to be lower than 50uV rms over operating bandwidth of 1MHz. Software needs tocontrol all biases and clocks and needs to be compatible with Unix operating system.Software needs to support data acquisition system requiring time resolution of 40ns orbetter. Hardware specific software needs to be compatible with Detector CharacterizationLaboratory developed software interfaces including Graphical User Interface.The IR controller detector testing electronics consists of (1) 250 Mhz Fiber optic timingboard -(1) Clock Driver Board -(4) Eight Channel IR video boards (2)250 Mhz PCIinterface boards -(1) 6 slot closed housing -(1) Large power supply-(1)Fiber Optic Cable(1) Large Power Supply Cable.This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. Theinformation required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writingSherika.D.Wilson@nasa.gov no later than September 10, 2009. Prospective quoters shallnotify this office of their intent to submit a quotation. It is the quoter'sresponsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any).
