Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302 FOR THIS PROCUREMENT ACTION. INTERESTED PARTIES MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT, OR SUBMIT QUOTES OR PROPOSALS AND CAPABILITY STATEMENTS. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES OR PROPOSALS. HOWEVER, ALL QUOTES OR PROPOSALS RECEIVED BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS RFQ WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, Port Hueneme, CA intends to procure the following items that are listed as open market items on a GSA contract schedule: Description: AN-BT511-00 ISO-Parallel Tap and NIA-II ABCH Channel Kit. Items are accessories for the NIA-II network analyzer in the weapon system program software development and maintenance lab. The NIA-II is used in testing the weapon system programs maintained by the lab. The ISO-Parallel Tap connects to existing cables for data monitoring and acquisition over long distances. Signal integrity is assured as the cable shielding through the tap is unbroken and is completely isolated from chassis ground. The ISO-Parallel Tap and Tool Kit are used in Navy Calibration Laboratories to perform precision measurements, and has been established as a Navy standard. The NAICS code is 334418 and the Small Business Standard is 500 Employees. This combined synopsis/solicitation is a Sole Source. The contract type will be firm fixed price. This requirement is SOLE SOURCED to: SABTECH Industries, Inc, as the only source that can produce this item. The above-listed components are manufactured soley by SABTECH, and the product herein is proprietary data and design. Any firms believing that they can provide the AN-BT511-00 ISO-Parallel Tap and NIA-II ABCH Channel Kit, may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 10 days after the date of publication of this note. It must clearly show the firms ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the part without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Respond to Rachel T.
