Description
The description of this effort is amended as follows: The Defense Logistics Agency-Albany and the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) located at the Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB), Albany, GA, has a requirement for a contractor to provide all management, supervision, labor, and personnel to perform receiving, storage, rewarehousing, inventory, issue and delivery of material, and inventory and replenishment from stock to production line side bins in support of the Maintenance Center Albany (MCA) utilizing the Industrial Support Management Information System (ILSMIS) and other supply systems (i.e., Material Resource Planning II (MRP II)). The DLA-Albany maintains the minimum necessary storage and warehousing functions and associated inventory management for depot level repairables (DLR) and consumable repair parts to support the production lines at the MCA. The MCA performs repairing, rebuilding, or overhauling for both wheeled and tracked vehicles such as Amphibious Assault Vehicles, Light Armored Vehicles, Trucks, Cranes, Generators, and Components (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, and Electronics). Contract period is one (1) base year (28 December 2009 through 27 December 2010) and one (1) option year. A thirty (30) day phase-in period prior to full performance on or about 01 December 2009. This acquisition is set aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 493110. To receive an award resulting from solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, your company must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) Source Selection Procedures. Proposals shall be evaluated for acceptability only and shall not be rated. Award will be based on the lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for the non-cost factors. The non-cost factors shall include a Technical Proposal and Past Performance. These will be used to evaluate proposals. All non-cost factors shall be evaluated on a “go/no go” basis. If a proposal has been determined acceptable (“go”) under each of the non-cost factors, the proposal will then be evaluated for the lowest price. Failure to submit all the information requested by the solicitation may result in the proposal being eliminated from consideration for award. It is recommended that any interested parties register at this site for updates, as the Government will post any draft documents or amendments at the Federal Business Opportunities website. There is no incumbent for this effort. This procurement is Subject to the Availability of Funds. It is anticipated that there will be a site visit conducted for this procurement. The date and time will also be provided in the solicitation. It is expected the interested offerors will attend the site visit and thoroughly familiarize themselves with the project. It is anticipated that Solicitation SP3100-09-R-0052 will be posted to this site during the week of October 1, 2009. Amendments to the Solicitation will also be posted to this site.
