Description
Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast's (NAVFAC SE) plans to award a contract for Base Operating Support (BOS) services for Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Naval Station Mayport, Bureau of Medicine, USMC Blount Island, and other Department of Defense Agencies within a 500-mile radius. Selection will be made using a best value source selection process. A United States joint venture contractor currently provides complete Base Operation Support (BOS) services. Regional BOS services have been contracted at these commands since 2000. The outcome to be achieved is a follow-on contract for the Regional Base Operating Support (BOS) contract N62467-00-D-2451. The estimated cost of this contract $550,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this proposed procurement is 561210 and the annual size standard is $35,500,000.00. This will be a performance-based service contract. The Performance Work Statement format will follow NAVFAC's FSC/BOS standard template, which complies with OMB's and DOD's Performance-Based Service Acquisition requirements. The proposed contract type is a combination Fixed Price/Indefinite Quantity with Award Option provisions. Indefinite Quantity work includes minor construction work requirements. The performance period will be for a base period of twelve months (with an additional two months for phase-in/mobilization period from 2 August 2010 through 30 September 2010) and four (4) option periods of 12 months each with five (5) award option periods of 12 months each.The phase-out process will commence two (2) months at the end of the last performance period.
