Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS PUBLISHED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Sea Systems Command wants to conduct a market survey of private industry ship repair firms in accordance FAR 15.201 to determine industry interest in an upcoming Multi-Ship Multi-Option contract solicitation. This MSMO contract solicitation will include the FFG 7 USS Oliver Hazard Perry Class and the DDG 51 USS Arleigh Burke Class ships homeported in and visiting Puget Sound/Everett, Washington. It is intended to include both dry-docking and non dry-docking availabilities beginning in FY 10 and continuing through FY 14. Interested parties must be able to comply with FAR 16.301-3(a)(1) regarding cost type contract limitations. To fully explore and evaluate what will be reasonably necessary to accomplish this requirement, and to identify any and all issues, which must be addressed and / or resolved to accomplish the above requirement(s), only prospective prime contractors are invited to express their interest and comments in writing for this prospective requirement by Wednesday, 16 September 2009 to the following address: Naval Sea Systems Command, Attn: Maya Edmondson, Code: SEA 02441E, Mail Stop: 2030, Bldg. 197 1333 Isaac Hull Ave., SE Washington Navy Yard, D.C. 20376-2030.
