- Western Area Power Administration, Rocky Mountain Region has arequirement for Insulators and Hardware. 3/0 Trunion Clamps, Anderson TSC-86. Brand name or equal with the following salient characteristics: 1. Body and Keeper -356-T6 aluminum alloy. 2. Designed for use on tangent suspension spans with horizontal or vertical post insulators. 3. Keeper is reversible for proper fit on different size conductors. 69 Kv Insulators, pole top with bracket. Ohio Brass #5220051222. Brand name or equal with the following salient characteristics: 1. Insulated fiberglass rod is filled 65 percent by volume with electrical grade glass fibers. 2. Tracking Test: Performed on a sample of material inclined at 30 degrees and the electrodes positioned 35mm apart. Samples sprayed with a conductive solution and energized at 10 Kv. The cycle is repeated every 90 seconds. The sample passes if there is no carbonization or tracking, no erosion, and no leakage current flow at the end of 90 seconds. 3. Ultraviolet Test: Samples are exposed to high ultraviolet radiation and high humidity without cracking, or becoming hydrophilic after 8000 hrs of exposure. 4. Tear Strength: Acceptable nominal tear strength per ASTM method B is 100 lb/in. 69KV Standoff Insulators. Ohio Brass #5220051100. Brand name or equal with the following salient characteristics: 1. This will be handled as a commercial supply requirement in accordance with FAR 12 and 13. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about September 10, 2009, on the following website: http://e-center.doe.gov/ Interested Offerors may email (eray@wapa.gov) or fax (970-240-6314) to request the solicitation, however, it will be posed on the above mentioned website. Note: all responses to this RFQ may be faxed to 970-240-6314, mailed to Western Area Power Administration, 1800 S Rio Grande Avenue, Montrose, CO 81401, e-mailed to eray@wapa.gov, or submitted electronically. Prospective contractors must complete the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with its required registration in CCR, and must update its reps and certs annually in ORCA. Prospective contractors must ensure their CCR registration includes the NAICS Code 335932 and that the Contractor meets the size standard requirement of 500 Employees in order to submit a quote in response to this solicitation. Quotes are due by 4:00 PM Mountain Daylight Standard Time on September 17, 2009.
