Description
Pictures of tie downs requested. ***added 8 September 2009*** The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions posed by vendors. The close out date of this solicitation has been extended to 1pm MT on 11 September 2009, and pictures are attached. Question: Where is the ratchet located? Is this one piece of web with a ratchet on one end and a e-clip on opposite end, or is it a strap assembly with a e-clip on each end and ratchet in between somewhere? The standard length for the tie down industry is a 4' fixed end (which includes (4' of web on fixed end with a spring e-clip on one end and ratchet on the opposite end), the adjustable end is 12' long, with a spring e-clip on one end' for a total length of 16'. Does color of web make any difference. Does this require a one piece spring loaded e-clip or a 3 piece e-clip? Is the blank end of the adjustable end inserted through the mandrel of the ratchet and tacked down? Answer: The ratchet is located on one piece of the web. The ratchet can be 1 inch, and the color does not matter. The current blank end is not inserted, but would like to have it inserted. We prefer a one piece spring loaded e-clip. Question: Is the 2" d-ring made of round stock steel or flat stock steel? Does the overall length (2"x6") include the hardware from tip to tip, or is the webbing length 2"x6". Answer: The 2" d-ring is made of round stock steel. The overall length (2"x6") doesn't include the hardware from tip to tip.
