Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice ONLY. This is not a request for quote, but a survey to locate potential sources. The US Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office (YAO), is performing a market survey to determine if there are an adequate number of interested and qualified firms having the capability to modify existing pump flanged column piping (12 inch diameter 304 series stainless steel column pipe) to new internal standards. All interested firms should submit a response to this office by email or fax by 4:00 p.m., Mountain Time, September 11, 2009. Responses shall include:1. Business name, address, point of contact and business size and type (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, small business). For this requirement, the anticipated NAICS code is 332919 and the applicable size standard is 500 employees.2. A capability statement that demonstrates the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility of perform the principal components of work listed in the below Statement of Work (SOW). Description of Work: Contractor shall modify Government supplied 12 inch diameter, 304 series stainless steel column pipe. Contractor shall remove all existing stainless steel flanges and provide new stainless flanges faced and drilled to meet the requirements of Government supplied drawing, see attachment A. All required modifications to Government furnished stainless steel pipe shall meet the following tolerances: 1. Contractor shall machine new 304 stainless steel flanges within +/-.002" on the male and female registers. 2. The face run-out and concentricity tolerances for the flanges to column pipe +/-.002".3. The finished column pipes shall be 10 feet in total length from end of flange to end of flange. 4. Contractor will be assisted by Government staff with fork lift in loading and unloading Government material at the YAO, Monday through Thursday between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Mountain Standard Time.5. Government furnished pipe is as listed in Table 1. This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. All businesses capable of providing this service are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this notice is voluntary.
