Description
This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement is an unrestricted open market solicitation; quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICTATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Quotation No. Q3400090140 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract for Commercial Items, using simplified acquisition procedures. Responses are due on or before September 15, 2009. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 336112; the size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. The estimated magnitude of this procurement is between $80,000.00 and $150,000.00. The National Park Service, National Mall and Memorial Parks, has a requirement to purchase one (1) solid waste disposal vehicle. These specifications include but are not limited to the following: 11 yard body capacity with a body width approximately 96", body length approximately 191" and approximate weight of 9,250 lbs with a high tensile steel body construction (25,500 GVWR); hydraulic brakes; air conditioned cab. Color shall be white (Acrylic Urethane Enamel). The hopper shall have a capacity of 2.5 yds with a hopper width of approximately 74", cycle time of 25 to 30 seconds and pack to go rear loading. It shall have an International 225 HP diesel engine and an Allison 3000 RDS4 5 speed automatic transmission (hot shift w/over speed) or equal. The hydraulic system shall have an oil reservoir of 40 to 45 gallons; maximum operating pressure of 2,200 PSI; 4 to 1 burst hydraulic hoses and a 10 micron hydraulic filter. Vehicle shall have two (2) work and one (1) strobe light at the tailgate (hopper area). Provide a safety rear vision camera (5.5" black/white camera) and a driver alert buzzer on both sides of the tailgate.
