- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT – Commander Navy Installations Command (CNIC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Lakeshore Learning Materials, located at 2695 E. Dominguez Street, Carson, CA 90895 for the purchase of the following: Lakeshore Learning Materials - KT1939 for Children Ages 6-12 – Quantity 1802, Lakeshore Learning Materials – KT1938-Kit for Children Ages 2-5 – Quantity 1744, and Lakeshore Learning Materials – KT1938-Kit for Children Ages 6 weeks to 2 years – Quantity 949. CNIC will be purchasing this requirement with NON-APPROPRIATED FUNDS (NAF). The contract will result in a NAF firm fixed price contract. Negotiation is being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of BUPERSINST 7043.1B. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of BUPERSINST 7043.1B. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any responses to this notice of contract action shall be submitted to Joseph Sherwood, joseph.d.sherwood.ctr@navy.mil, no later than 9 September 2009, 12:00 PM EST.
