- This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors for Install Headworks Screens for Fort Kamehameha Wastewater Treatment Plant, Hickam Air Force Base, Oahu, Hawaii. The work includes, but is not limited to, empty and clean headworks channels of grit, install new (government furnished) headworks filter screens which are rated for a flow of 13 million gallons per day (MGD) (performing all adjustments to ensure proper fit), make adjustments required for discharge into screening compactor, provide all electrical connections and control wiring terminations/programming, etc.). The NAICS Code for this procurement is 237110 and the annual size standard is $33,500,000.00. The contract term will be approximately 60 days. Interested sources shall provide only the following: 1) indicate that they are capable of providing the required services and 2) indicate their size status (i.e., small business, 8(a), HUBZone, service disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB)). Interested sources may submit their response to julie.shimoda@navy.mil. DO NOT SUBMIT A NARRATIVE, PROPOSAL, BROCHURES OR ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AT THIS TIME. Based upon the responses received, the Government will determine the set-aside method for the procurement. This is a sources sought announcement and is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on responses to this notice. This Sources Sought Synopsis is not a Request for Proposal (RFP); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources prior to issuing an RFP. Interested parties should respond no later than September 16, 2009.
