- Description
- USAREUR requires Anti-Terrorism suject matter expert support services to provide timely access to information, standard and automated processes, and the ability to share information rapidly with higher, subordinate and parallel levels of command. Execution of these tasks requires a high level of skill and knowledge and awareness of DA, EUCOM and DOD Antiterrorism policies and guidance for the accomplishment of tasks of a technical military and scientific nature. As the principle advisor for AT efforts the G3-AT division is charged with the responsibility of developing and implementing comprehensive plans and programs to counter the terrorist threat. G3 AT is staffed with capable officers, non-commissioned officers, and DOD civilians. However, the significant personnel turnovers; evolving AT program requirements; and the need to rapidly finalize actions impacting on the safety and security of personnel within USAREUR has the division confronted with a tangible AT personnel and continuity shortfall. To provide adequate continuity, coordinated countermeasures, and effective implementation of AT program directives, the AT division require the services of AT SMEs with extensive and current knowledge of AT/FP directives, extensive relevant experience at the Major Command or higher level staffing documents and policy; and an understanding of the AOR and strategic objectives related to USAREURs and the Armys transformation.
