Description
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Denver, CO has a requirement for a commercial item or service. This combined synopsis/solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 (as supplemented with additional information included in this notice). This posting will be referred to under Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number 601819Q082. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A written solicitation will not be issued. This RFQ falls under procedures in FAR Parts 12 and 13. This document incorporates provisions and clauses updated by way of the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-33, effective 6/15/2009. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 561730 with a business size standard of $7.0 Million. This requirement is a Total Set-Aside for Small Business. This announcement constitutes the Government's only official notice of this procurement. TREE REMOVAL INCLUDES: Treat all live trees in section A by cutting off or into the tree cambium layer and applying herbicide (Arsenal) at the recommended label rate to the cut area or stump. Section A consists of approximately 11.5 acres of scattered and clumped trees. Herbicide application must be completed by October 1, 2009. Using a Hydro axe that can mow bursh and trees up to 6" diameter and has large tires at least 67x34x25 and ground pressure of 5.56 PSI to allow access into wet and soft terrain, mow/cut trees in section B. Cutter head should be at least 8 foot wide. All trees and limbs should be mowed/cut as close to the ground as possible and larger logs should be piled on site. Section B consists of approximately 8 acres of scattered and clumbed trees. Section B must be competed by December 31, 2009. Offers received after this date and time will be considered non-responsible in accordance with 52.212-1(f) and will not be evaluated. Offerors must comply with all instructions contained in FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items. The provisions at 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Evaluation factors are price only. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
