Description
This combined solicitation/synopsis is to procure and prepare a 2 channel vibration table controller and associated software. This is for use with an existing electro-hydraulic vibration table. The vibration controller must also come with associated control modules, sine resonance phase track and dwell control (SRTD), onsite commissioning and training, and calibration and verification software. A 1-year maintenance agreement and manuals will be provided. SIC Code is 3829, NAICS Code 334519, Size Standard 500 Employees. This is a Sole Source procurement, synopsis published for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. This proposed contract action is for procurement of an item for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. The proposed source is Vibration Research Corporation 2385 Wilshire Drive, Ste A Jenison, MI 49428. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive qu! otations; however, all quotations recieved within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information recieved will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. "An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. WHen requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selections proc! ess.
