- 1. Sagebrush Planting.1.1 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Provide all labor, tools, equipment and materials to perform allwork in strict accordance with the specifications, plans and timing identified in this document.2. AREA DESCRIPTION: Specific upland sites of the Hanford Reach National Monument, inBenton County, Washington. Staff of the USFWS will identify (flag) specific areas on theground within these areas. Approximately 3,341 acres will be planted, in up toW discretelocations.3. PLANT MATERIAL; Plant material will be supplied by the Government. Plants will meettechnical specifications for plant materials, generally plants a minimum of 5 months old, withroots minimum of 15 em and maximum of 40 cm, and shrub height minimum of 10 em.4. PRINCIPLE ITEMS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED: Plant approximately 355,000 native shrubs(e.g sagebrush) seedlings, within specific upland shrub-steppe habitat restoration sites on theUSFWS. All of the plants will be bare root stock. The following sub-paragraphs identify specificsub-tasks to fulfill the requirements of this project.
