Description
RECOVERY: Synopsis: This project will be funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and is subject to the reporting requirements of the act. The Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue Invitation for Bid (IFB) I4810090092, to replace three (3) cooling towers at Steamtown National Historic Site, Scranton Pennsylvania. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and management necessary to replace three (3) cooling towers at Steamtown National Historic Site, Scranton Pennsylvania. THIS PROCUREMENT WILL BE ISSUED AS UNRESTRICTED WITH A 10% EVALUATION PREFERENCE FOR CERTIFIED HUB ZONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR SUBPART 19.1307(a). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 and the Standard is $14 million. The estimated cost range for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The intended contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price Construction subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. The solicitation including all bid documents will be posted to the websites, http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 17 September 2009. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitations plans and specifications. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system in order to receive contract awards. As a security precaution, vendors must register themselves through the on-line CCR system. Be advised, failure to register in the CCR database makes a bidder ineligible for a contract award with the National Park Service.
