Description
Work consists of furnishing labor, equipment and materials to stabilize and preserve the standing random stone masonry walls of structures in the Alpine Tunnel Historic District for improved visitor safety and historical experience. This contract will have a Base Item and two Optional Items. The Base item will repair and stabilize on collapsed building (the Engine House), along with vegetation removal and applying preservative to certain embedded wood members. Optional item 1 will treat the masonry at a second stone ruin, the Section House. Optional item 2 will construct two short (25 feet long each) compacted aggregate gravel pathways at the Engine House, by clearing large stone rubble, grading and applying trail material to provide a smooth walking surface. The project estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. Payment protection will be required per the Miller Act and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the Government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov//. THIS AMENDMENT IS TO ALLOW FOR FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION - there is no set-asides on this project.
