Description

This announcement serves as a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract to Southern Illinois University (SIU) to serve as the Mississippi Flyway Collection Site for the Waterfowl Parts Collection Survey. The annual Mississippi Flyway Wingbee is a cooperative effort betwen the US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and all 14 respective state environmental agencies in the Mississippi Flyway. SIU is near the geographic center of the Flyway and provides unique services to the FWS due to it being an academic institution specializing in waterfowl sureys. This also allows waterfowl experts from all 14 states in the Flyway area to attend the Wingbee. Total contract value is expected to be below the simplified acquisition threshold which includes 1 base year and four option years.
