RFQ0900087 Ltr of Instructions RFQ09000087 Drawings Receivers RFQ09000087 Specs and Drawings RFQ09000087 Radio Receivers The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) intends to make a single contract award for the radio receivers. See the following specifications and drawings that will provide the minimum requirements for the required radio receivers: The contractor shall provide radios receivers w/enclosing chamber which shall meet all the salient characteristics. RFQ requirement includes receipt of specifications for receiver, user manuals, block diagrams, mechanical drawings, technical support and repair. This RFQ is for purchase of 14 Radio Receivers meeting the following minimum specifications: Drawings and Specifications 1. Description A rugged receiver to be used in a mobile environment for the reception of radio frequency signals attaching to custom designed radio direction finding equipment. 2. Electrical Specifications (50 Ohms) A. Frequency Coverage i. 100 kHz to 3 GHz ii. 100 Hz or less tuning resolution B. Input 3rd Order Intercept of 0dBm or greater C. Typical Noise Figure of 15dB or less D. Typical Sensitivity -100 dBm E. 12 VDC Power i. 11 to 14 VDC ii. 25 Watt Max F. Minimal 3 wire RS232 Serial Interface for control (RXD, TXD, GND) i. No flow control ii. No Human Interface is required. All control is to be performed through the RS232 interface G. COR signal line i. Output, 0-5 V, indicating the presence of energy over the set squelch level ii. TTL compatible iii. Squelch set to 0 dB causes COR line to indicate energy always present H. RF Input i. 50 Ohms ii. Max input +20 dBm or greater I. Wideband IF Output i. 50 Ohms ii. Used for spectrum display iii. 10 - 25 MHz signal iv. 10 MHz or greater bandwidth v. Approximately 0 to 10 dB gain output referenced from input signal vi. If portions of spectrum are inverted a "Spectrum Inversion Line" outputting 0-5v needs to be implemented J. Switched Filter IF Output i. 50 Ohms ii. slow-acting AGC iii. Used for Signal Processing iv. Approximately -30 to 0 dBm average output v. IF Bandwidth requirements: 2 to 3 kHz, 10 kHz, 75 kHz, and 250 kHz K. Line Level Audio Output i. Minimum Demodulation requirements: AM, FM, CW, Pulse, and SSB L. Scan Mode i. Stored memory channels are automatically monitored for activity ii. Dwell times adjustable 3. Mechanical Specifications A. Device must be no larger than 10 in. X 5.25 in. X 4 in. and will be mounted from the 10 in. X 5.25 in. face. A minimum of 6 screw positions are required to allow for mounting on a vertical plate. B. Interface connections to be made one of the 5.25 in. X 4 in. face of receiver. C. Enclosing chamber is not shielded. Receiver needs to be self contained in a proper shielded enclosure. 4.Environmental Specifications A.The receiver will be kept inside the vehicle during its complete lifespan. B.Device will be enclosed in a fan cooled chamber. C.Operating Temperature -20 degrees Celsius to +50 degrees Celsius Additional Requirements: (a)Offeror's quote shall contain complete specifications for receiver (Specifications must be submitted as part of offeror (s). Those offeror(s) not submitting specifications with their quotes shall be deemed non-responsive.) Provide 1 (one) electronic copy and 1 (one) paper copy. (b)Test production unit with user manual SHALL BE provided to FCC, EDG to ensure all specifications have been meet before delivery of compete order. (c)Provide technical support and repair as needed. (d)Complete block diagrams, mechanical drawings along with unlimited use SHALL BE provided to the Federal Communications Commission.
