Description
The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for a firm fixed-price contract for a Amphibious Personnel Carrier Track Assembly. Size, dimensions, or other form, fit or functional description,Track Chain shall be 4 inch heavy duty track chain with K3 attachments every other link. The 4 inch track chain shall be USA brand or equivalent (US Tsubaki chain does not meet the following specification and is not acceptable). The 4 inch track chain shall have middle carbon heat treated sidebars, carbon case hardened bushings, middle carbon heat treated rollers, alloy heat treated pins, and a 70,000 pound minimum breaking load. Each track system (2 total) shall include the installation of special extreme duty aluminum cleats and UHMW wiper and wear pads. Each track system will include a minimum of 105 aluminum cleats mounted to K3 attachments, a minimum of 8 wiper pads equally spaced in pairs, and a minimum of 210 wear pads equally spaced in pairs. The vendor shall use proper size, minimum grade five (5) and proper quantity of bolts, nuts, flat washers, and lock washers for assembly of the track systems. Predominant material of manufacture, aluminum Quantity, (2 total) track system, minimum of 105 aluminum cleats mounted to K3 attachments, minimum of 8 wiper pads equally spaced in pairs, minimum of 210 wear pads equally spaced in pairs, minimum grade five (5) and proper quantity of bolts, nuts, flat washers, and lock washers for assembly of the track systems. Destination/location information, Socoro, NM 87801 Solicitation No. 09SQ400156 will be issued on or about September 2, 2009, and will be available for downloading directly from the following website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The date for receipt of quotes is September 11, 2009. This solicitation will be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded on or about September 14, 2009. This is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code is: 333120; the small business size standard is 750 employees. In the case of noncompetitive contract actions (including those that do not exceed the simplified acquisition threshold), identify the intended source and insert a statement of the reason justifying the lack of competition All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by this agency. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov to be eligible for award.
