Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ACQUISITION WILL BE MADE UNDER THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION THRESHOLD OF $100,000.00. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written RFQ will not be issued. The SIC code for this acquisition is 8621. The US Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for 40 Institutional Memberships into the Society of Conservation Biology to promote the scientific study of the phenomena that affect the maintenance, loss, and restoration of biological diversity. Memberships shall include Journal Watch development on-line and in print for conservation science communication, quarterly papers and journal publications. The USGS only knows of one provider for the purchase of memberships into the Society of Conservation Biology. Vendors who believe they can provide this service are invited to contact the Contracting Officer, vfloyd@usgs.gov no later than 09/04/2009 with an affirmative answer.
