Description
This special notice serves as an announcement concerning the US Army Space & Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Commands (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) intent to provide logistic support to a consortium forum, to establish an Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Technology Consortium, by providing Government speakers at the forum. National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is facilitating the formation of an ISR Technology Consortium. NDIA will host an industry day and a consortium organizing meeting on Sep 2-3, 2009 at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City Hotel, 1250 South Hayes St, Arlington VA. Registration information is available at the NDIA website http://www.ndia.org/events/987L/Pages/default.aspx. The purpose of this notice is to inform industry that USASMDC/ARSTRAT will consider requests for similar support by other non-federal entities that wish to form an ISR consortium. Any party interested in forming an alternate consortium should notify the SMDC/ARSTRAT POC within 14 calendar days from the date of this posting. (The original LEMV synopsis was posted under W91260-LEMV, dated 22 April 2009.) The Government anticipates utilizing a consortium through an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) for the acquisition of a Long Endurance Multi-Intelligence Vehicle (LEMV) and ancillary systems including ground stations, sensors, communication and Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED). The use of an OTA type agreement is a potential acquisition approach that is still subject to senior Government review and approval. Questions concerning this announcement may be directed to Ms. Marie Tornai, Contract Specialist, POC for SMDC/ARSTRAT, CAMO OPS-W, Peterson AFB, CO, at marie.tornai@smdc-cs.army.mil.
