Hayden VA Medical Center. This project may also require construction of new exterior and/or interior features if determined to be required by the newly planned functions and/or applicable building codes and regulations. Attachment A shows a schedule of submissions, Attachment B is a graphical representation of the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center campus, and Attachment C is the A/E specific minimum submission requirements. II.BACKGROUND: In 2005 the Phoenix VA Medical Center began implementing a phased plan for the replacement of the electrical infrastructure. The overall plan was to include the replacement of distribution equipment and consideration of the requirements for separating emergency loads into life safety, emergency and equipment critical branches. The phased infrastructure upgrade was divided into two categories, "Electrical Infrastructure" and "Back-up Power". Electrical Infrastructure focuses primarily on normal power high-voltage distribution, while Back-up Power focuses primary on load separation and shedding for emergency power systems. To date four phased designs and one construction effort, have been completed. The Medical Center is currently engaged in construction for the remaining three completed designs. In addition to the completed designs and construction, one design is currently addressing providing emergency power to Motor Control Centers (Electrical Infrastructure Phase 3, 644-09-107). The comprehensive list for the completed project and on-going construction and design projects is listed below. "Upgrade Backup Power Phase 1, Project 644-06-101, Completed "Electrical Infrastructure Phase 1, Project 644-07-105, On Going Construction"Electrical Infrastructure Phase 2, Project 644-08-101, On Going Construction"Upgrade Backup Power Phase 2, Project 644-07-101, Completed, Awaiting As-Builts"Electrical Infrastructure Phase 3, Project 644-09-107, On Going Design
