- PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Lake County/North Chicago, IL 60064 DESCRIPTION: Sources sought for a commercial services acquisition, which may result in a solicitation being issued for a firm-fixed-price contract. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of contractors who can support this requirement as a prime contractor. Services would include: (1) Providing all labor, material, travel, parts, tools, and test equipment necessary for full service maintenance services for USMEPCOM Information Technology Customer Support Branchs government-owned equipment (e.g., Carrier, 40 ton chiller 1/EA; Liebert System 3, 30-ton, Computer Room Air Conditioner, 4/EA; and Trane, 20-ton Condenser, 1/EA). (2) Providing year-round, on-site, remedial maintenance services (i.e., restoring the equipment to operational condition after failure). (3) Providing preventative maintenance shall be at the convenience of the government, on an as-required basis for cited equipment: to keep the equipment operating in compliance with manufacturers specification including, but is not limited to monthly inspections, power-wash condenser coils, calibrate operating controls, grease and lubricate all necessary parts, and acid cleaning of pans. (4) Providing off-site disposal of chemicals to include all associated costs. The period of performance for this acquisition is expected to be 1 November 2009 through 31 October 2010, with four one-year option periods. Work shall be performed at MEPCOM. Contractors facility shall be located within a 50-mile radius of MEPCOM. The normal computer operations schedule includes year-round operations, 24 hours/day, Monday through Saturday. Operations are normally suspended on Sundays and federal holidays. However, the principle period of maintenance required by this acquisition is year-round, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
